Program Requirement

Course Overview – CPR/AED Certification

The CPR/AED Certification program is designed to prepare participants to confidently respond to cardiac emergencies and choking situations. Depending on the certification level selected, training covers lifesaving techniques for adults, children, and infants.
Participants gain both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in performing effective CPR and operating an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). All courses comply with current provincial and territorial workplace safety regulations, meet insurance board requirements, and follow the latest evidence-based CPR and AED guidelines.

COURSE DURATION

CPR Level A – Blended Learning

  • In-Person Training: 4 hours
    OR
  • Hybrid Format: 2 hours classroom instruction + 3 hours online learning

CPR Level C – Blended Learning

  • In-Person Training: 5 hours
    OR
  • Hybrid Format: 3 hours classroom instruction + 3 hours online learning

CERTIFICATION

Successful participants receive a CPR Level A or Level C certification, valid for three (3) years.
Certificates are issued upon course completion.

Recertification Policy

  • Recertification is allowed once only
  • Individuals who have already completed a recertification must enroll in the full Standard First Aid Level C course

  • CPR Level C Blended Recertification:
    • Classroom Only: 3.5 hours
    • Hybrid Format: 2.5 hours in-class + 2 hours online learning
