This comprehensive program provides essential Emergency First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training suitable for both workplace and home environments. The course complies with provincial and territorial occupational health and safety legislation and meets worker safety and insurance board requirements. Training is based on the most current First Aid and CPR guidelines, ensuring participants are prepared to respond confidently during emergencies.
Participants who successfully complete the program receive a 3-year certification in Emergency First Aid and CPR Level A or Level C, issued upon completion.
Program Requirements
- To successfully complete the course, participants must:
- Demonstrate competency in all required practical skills
- Achieve a minimum score of 75% on the written, closed-book knowledge assessment
- Attend all scheduled sessions and actively participate in course activities
Course Duration
- Emergency First Aid & CPR Level A – Blended
- In-Person: 6.5 HOURS
- OR
- Hybrid: 4 hours in-class + 4 hours online learning
- Emergency First Aid & CPR Level C – Blended
- In-Person: 7 hours
- OR
- Hybrid: 5 hours in-class + 4 hours online learning

- Recertification Duration

- Preparing to respond to emergencies
- Understanding the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) system
- Check, Call, Care approach
- Airway emergencies
- Breathing and circulation emergencies
- First aid response to respiratory and cardiac arrest
- Wound care and bleeding control
